About
Townley House Nursery School
📖 Our Story
Built on a simple belief
I first opened Townley House in 2000, after spending over 40 years working in childcare, including owning a larger nursery.
When I was expecting my own children, I realised something important: I couldn’t find a small nursery that truly felt right for my own family. I wanted somewhere warm, nurturing and personal — a place where children were known as individuals, not numbers, and where families felt genuinely supported.
That is why I created Townley House.
From the very beginning, my vision was to build a small, home-from-home nursery where children feel safe, happy and valued. Today, Townley House is still run as a family setting — alongside my son — with those same values at the heart of everything we do.
🧑🤝🧑 The Team
Meet The Manager
As Manager of Townley House Independent Nursery, I am privileged to work with a dedicated and passionate team. Focusing on creating an environment where children feel safe, confident and excited to explore the world around them.
Our practitioners work closely to provide thoughtful care and meet children’s individual needs, providing engaging learning opportunities that support each child’s development stage. We believe that strong partnerships with families are essential, we value open communication so that parents always feel informed, supported and involved in their child’s journey with us.
Children’s early years are incredibly important; we take great pride in providing experiences that encourage curiosity, independence and foster a lifelong love of learning. Observing children grow in confidence, develop friendships and master new skills makes it incredibly rewarding.
With over 16 years of early years’ experience and being a mum myself, I appreciate the hurdles families can face during their child’s early years. I gain immense satisfaction from supporting families and making a positive contribution to children’s learning and development.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family to Townley House and sharing the wonderful experiences that take place here every day.
